Are dogs allowed?

Unfortunately dogs are not allowed due to the nature of the deer being very protective especially around their young , (guide dogs are permitted but not inside the deer park.)

Can we book a safari online?

No , all safaris are booked in the shop once inside the farm , this is to ensure all clients are present and the appropriate paperwork is filled in.

What do I need to drive a Safari buggy?

All buggy drivers must be over 25 and hold a full valid UK Car Driving licence.

How do I book a Safari?

The buggies are booked in the shop once inside the farm , they go on safari at 11am , 1.00pm and 3pm each day , the wheelchair trailer can also be booked at the shop and is towed behind the lead buggy on each safari if required . It is advisable to arrive to book your buggy at least 45 minutes before departure time to fill in the necessary paperwork .

The seven seater all terrain vehicle is also booked in the shop and is available as and when required , however this vehicle is more advantageous during the rutting season for safety reasons unless you would like a more private experience .

What time do you open?

Great wedlock farm and deer park is open from 10am -4pm each Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1st March until 31st December.

How much does it cost to park?

Parking is free.

What is shown on the Cinema Barn’s led screen?

Films are shown all day for the younger visitors to the farm.

Is food served on the premises?

Yes, snacks and ice cream are served alongside hot and cold drinks in Bambi’s coffee shop.

Can we bring our own food?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food which can be eaten on any of the many outside bench seats that are located in several different areas around the farm. Please put all rubbish in the bins provided.

Are there any hidden costs once admission fee paid?

There are no hidden costs except if you wish to take a safari or use the kiddie rides.

Can we leave the farm and return on the same day without further payment?

Yes you can – please have your hand stamped in the shop before exiting and this will allow you to pass through the pay booth on your return at no extra charge.

Do we have to book online to gain admission?

No , you can pay on arrival at the pay booth , however we do limit the amount of visitors per day in the interest of making your day a memorable experience but more importantly in the interest of our deer and their well-being.

Is smoking allowed in open areas at Great Wedlock Farm and Deer Park?

Smoking of any description is not allowed anywhere in the grounds of Great Wedlock Farm and Dear Park. This is due to the high risk of grass fires endangering our Deer.
