Are dogs allowed?

Unfortunately dogs are not allowed due to the nature of the deer being very protective especially around their young , (guide dogs are permitted but not inside the deer park.)

Can we book a safari online?

Yes, you can book a safari online and also reserve a day and a time slot as they go out at 11am, 1pm and 3pm each day.

What do I need to drive a Safari buggy?

All buggy drivers must be over 21 and hold a full valid UK Car Driving licence.

How do I book a Safari?

As well as booking online you can also book a buggy in the shop once inside our deer park, as long as we still have availability. The wheelchair trailer can also be booked at the shop and is towed behind the lead buggy on each safari if required. It is advisable to ring the office if you require the wheelchair trailer so we have time to do our safety checks before your arrival.

The seven seater all terrain vehicle is also booked in the shop and is available as and when required , however this vehicle is more advantageous during the rutting season for safety reasons unless you would like a more private experience .

What time do you open?

Open every weekend after Winter closure from 14th March
During term time we are closed on a Monday and a Tuesday , please see our online bookings calendar below to confirm the days that we are open.
Doors Open: 10am – 4:00pm.

How much does it cost to park?

Parking is free.

What is shown on the Cinema Barn’s led screen?

Films are shown all day for the younger visitors to the farm.

Is food served on the premises?

Yes, snacks and ice cream are served alongside hot and cold drinks in Bambi’s coffee shop.

Are there any hidden costs once admission fee paid?

There are no hidden costs except if you wish to take a safari, £2 for the golf ball and pencil for the mini putting course or use the kiddie rides.

Can we leave the farm and return on the same day without further payment?

Yes you can – please have your hand stamped in the shop before exiting and this will allow you to pass through the pay booth on your return at no extra charge.

Do we have to book online to gain admission?

No , you can pay on arrival at the pay booth , however we do limit the amount of visitors per day in the interest of making your day a memorable experience but more importantly in the interest of our deer and their well-being.

Is smoking allowed in open areas at Great Wedlock Farm and Deer Park?

Smoking of any description is not allowed anywhere in the grounds of Great Wedlock Farm and Dear Park. This is due to the high risk of grass fires endangering our Deer.
