Explore Nature in and around the park
At Great Wedlock Farm & Deer Park we have a 2 mile country walk around the periphery of the park. We have 150 acres of grassland, gorseland and woodland dedicated to our deer whilst a further 26 acres is kept as a nature reserve around the river Ritec.
Discover the wild
On our Nature Walk, you’ll encounter some amazing scenery with gorgeous views of Pembrokeshire. From the highest point on the trail you’ll be treated to views overlooking Tenby and Caldey Island to the east, with the Milford Haven Estuary visible to the west.
You might be lucky enough to spot a variety of species around the park including–
Foxes | Badgers | Hedgehogs |
Rabbits | Field Mice | Squirrels |
Many different types of Birds of Prey |
Our nature walk isn’t for the faint-hearted as the terrain is quite steep in places. Unfortunately, this means it’s not suitable for the very young or elderly and is not accessible for wheelchairs or buggies.
Customers from these groups can still enjoy our outdoor area at the start of the walk which includes outside seating, a playground and outside gym equipment for both adults and children.
There is also our Deer Terrace which is wheelchair/buggy accessible, has outdoor seating and offers views over the deer park. The deer terrace faces due south, so don’t forget your sunglasses and sun cream!
